John Mahoney

John Mahoney was an American actor who rose to fame after his 40s. He began his career in the late 1970s, but it was not until his role as Martin Crane on Frasier that he became widely known.

Regis Philbin was already well known for hosting movies like “Live! With Regis” and “Kathie Lee” before turning 40. But after reaching middle age, his career skyrocketed when he took over hosting duties for “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” in 1999.

Later on, the program’s success saw Philbin become a household name and even earn him an Emmy.

Jane Lynch was already working in television before her 40s, appearing regularly on shows like The X-Files and Arrested Development. However, it was not until her role as Sue Sylvester on Glee that she rose to fame in 2009.

British actor Patrick Stewart has been working in television since 1970 but it was not until his role as Captian Jean-Luc Picard in “Star Trek: The Next Generation” that he achieved global fame.

Thus, he went on to become a household name with roles in blockbuster movies like X-Men and Green Room before recently returning to the world of television to star as Professor Charles Xavier in the hit series Legion.

These six Hollywood stars all prove that age is no barrier when it comes to achieving success and rising to fame, even after reaching their 40s. With hard work, dedication, and a bit of luck, anything is possible. And age? Well, it is just a number.

Judi Dench

Dame Judi Dench is one of Britain’s most beloved actors who rose to fame after her 40s with roles like M in the James Bond franchise and Queen Victoria in the film Mrs. Brown.

IMBD / Renowned English actress, Judy Dench, did not see her career blossoming until she hit her 40s.

Later on, she was awarded a British Academy Film Award for her performance in 1997’s “Mrs. Brown.” As a result, this helped her earn international recognition and numerous other awards throughout her career. Some of these accolades include an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for 1998’s Shakespeare “In Love.”
