The band was formed in the early 90s, and Reeves and his bandmate, Robert Mailhouse, met at a supermarket and formed a friendship. Reeves assumed the role of bassist and backup vocalist, while Mailhouse showcased his skills as the drummer and percussionist. With Gregg Miller joining the band as the lead guitarist later on, Dogstar’s lineup was complete.
The Dogstar Performance
Reeves’ reunion with Dogstar was an unexpected surprise, but it left a lasting impression on audiences. The fans’ excitement was palpable as the band took to the stage, and Reeves’ presence created an electric atmosphere. With his bass guitar slung over his shoulder, Reeves belted out the notes and sang alongside his bandmates.
Thus, the performance was nothing short of mesmerizing. And it showcased Reeves’ versatility as an artist. He is not only an accomplished actor but also a musician that can captivate audiences with his music.
Bandmates’ Encouragement
Before taking the stage, Reeves received some encouragement from his bandmate, Robert Mailhouse. In an interview with JamBase, Mailhouse revealed how they jammed together to prep for the reunion and how they were both feeling nervous before the performance.
However, that nervous energy quickly transformed into a rush of adrenaline as they stepped onto the stage. Mailhouse expressed his joy and happiness at being able to play with Reeves again, and the feeling was mutual.
Reeves’ Fondness for Dogstar
In an interview with Billboard, Reeves expressed his fondness for Dogstar, stating how much he has missed the band all these years. He shared how he would always cherish the memories he made while playing with the band and how grateful he was for the opportunity.
